How To Play

You are the administrator of NASA's Space Station project. You must plan, budget and administer the construction and operation of an orbital space station. It's up to you to pick the most appropriate team members to partake in the research and development projects you choose for the station. You are also responsible for scheduling shuttle missions and deciding their payloads, not to mention piloting them during their flights into and returning from orbit.

Earn money for your project by discovering important new technologies from your R&D team, as well as launching commercial satellites faster and more efficiently than your rivals, the European Space Agency.

Project: Space Station is not the kind of game that you can just pick up and play a quick game. This simulation game is very complex, with deep and compelling story. It's also one (if not best) strategy/simulator game on the C64. To get the most out of it, I highly recommend you giving the manual a read-through. But to summarize, here are the basic keyboard commands you use throughout the game:

:f1: - Switch shuttles / abort launch
:f7: - Read incoming messages from NASA
C - Identify module being carried by EVA pod
R - Rotate module being carried by EVA pod
S - Access EVA pod control screen
:space: - Activate EVA mandibles, landing gear, and make selections.

You can use the cursor keys or joystick for up/down/left/right movement, or assign your own keyboard controls if you're so inclined.
